Equifax

Equifax is one of the three major credit bureaus. If you have ever used or even applied for credit, you are probably in their files. You should regularly request a copy of your report to ensure that it is complete and correct, especially before applying for credit cards or loans.

The company was founded in 1899, under the name Retail Credit. It changed its name to Equifax in 1975.
