American Express Corporate Card

I had an amex CC through my employer. When I left, i didn't pay the bill and never turned in my expense report. Now it is on my credit report as open/charge-off. Didn't my company have legal responsibility for this? Will this be difficult to dispute with the credit agencies to remove it off of my record?
