You're probably out of luck. You can sue anybody for anything in small claims court, but from the sound of it, you would be wasitng your time and money.

Best thing to do is learn from it. Don't loan somebody money (that's what you did) if you can't afford to give them the money. Then if they pay you back, it's a nice surprise, and if they don't it's what you expected from the start, so no hard feelings.
