At our agency that I worked for, we required a certified copy. This isn't the standard so you may get away with just sending a photocopy.

Note: You should ensure that your father's Trust was a Irrevocable Trust before you contact creditors. If it was just a Revocable Trust, you creditors can go after their claims through the benefiiciaries of that trust. Assuming that you are part of that benefiiciary package, you may want to consult w/an attorney first to find out if creditors can fulfil their claims, if your father had debts with them. Good Luck.
