Well, I guess it sounds like I advocate not paying your debts, which isn't true, but given the sorry state of the credit reporting system, and the selling and re-selling of charged-off debt, you will be in a much better position if you just take bankruptcy. Chapter 7 if you qualify. Otherwise your credit will be trashed and you will be dealing with this well into the next decade. Linda
