John,

I almost positive that wages in the state of Texas are exempt. What you need to ASAP is to place a HOMESTEAD Exemption Act on your property. Texas and Florida are exempt from liens being put on your equity of a property. Although many states have Homestead Acts, none are as strong as those two states.

You need to file this Homestead Act with your County Courthouse, before you are served. Anything afterwards, is subject to liens and can be construed by the court as trying to "defraud your creditors".
