My health ins expired Dec 1st 2000 and my daughter had to have a lot of tests Dec 27th. My new ins. started Jan 29, but the doctor said these tests were urgent. Anyway, my daughter is 2 years old, the doctors bill for that day alone is $1,200. I CAN NOT afford to pay that and it is now showing up on my credit report as collection, my credit report was pretty decent before this.
My question is....Is there anyway to have this removed from my report? Could I claim it isn't my debt? I don't want this to affect my daughters report, although at 2 I don't see her buying any cars, but is there anything I can do.
OH one last question, I heard somewhere that a lot of inquiries on your CR can lower your Fair Isaac score, someone told me that you can have those investigated by saying that if the 'inquirers' don't have your Hard copy signature on file it has to be removed. Is this true?
