Kellie, First, on your daughter's medical bill. Gnerally, unless there is something wierd going on, 2 year olds don't have credit reports. Now, about the collection showing on your report, is this the hospital's medical billing office or a collection agency? Who is reporting this (name)? Have they sent you a collection letter? If so what did they say? You can dispute anything on your credit report, but depending on who is reporting this, you might be better off approaching it from the other direction since this is fairly recent. Recent derogs are harder to remove by disputing. Your state may have some kind of assistance program for medical expenses - tell me what state you live in and I can look that up for you (I am an insurance agent).
