Keep one thing in mind Ken. The hospital has a written contract with you and that means they probably{depending on the state} have years to sue before the SOL is up.Just because there is no judgement or lawsuit now doesn't mean they can't file one next week.
I would suggest you do a lot of thinking about the totality of the situation. If the medical bills are so large that you can't pay, it may be prudent to file bk and get rid of all unsecured debt and start over. The reason I suggest you think about it now is the bk laws probably will change by April and it'll be more expensive and timeconsuming to get discharged.
