Yes, you shold send a letter to the collectiona agency asking for proof that this debt is yours. If they cannot prove that it is yours, then they should remove it from your credit reports. Only correspond with them in writing, certified mail, return receipt so you have proof that they recieved your letters. Since you jhaven't received anything giving you the 3o day dispute notice, I would include that fact in the letter. Linda Linda
