Inaccurate credit reporting

I had filed for bankruptcy in November 2000 which was discharged in march 2001. I did not discharge any credit cards and paid up for all my credit cards well within the due date. Now some card companies have shown me as discharging their credit cards through bankruptcy even though I did not owe them a dime and have fully paid any balances. Is this legal? How can I do soemthing about it as it does not seem fair to get a derogatory mark on your credit report even if you did not owe them anything
