card association settlement

I am researching the fee that financial institutions charge for the provision of settlement services with various associations such as Interac, Visa, and Mastercard. I have learned that in U.S. it is charged on a txn fee basis but can't seem to find anything out for Canada. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.
