Sue him back - for anything you can think of that you can prove. Do you have any witnesses? Try to get a judgment against him.

May or may not work, but the damage is done.

Otherwise to avoid paying the judgment, keep your head low, don't let people know where you work, don't use any credit, don't keep a bank account, or if you must, put another person on it. Again it may or may not work.

Or you can pay a lawyer and try to do something about it (I kind of doubt they'll take it, but you can ask). I know I had a similar situation when I was younger, and I paid the lawyer $40 to tell me there was nothing I could do, LOL. Not putting down lawyers, I have one. You needed one a long time ago in this case.
