13 you pay off some of the debts over a period of time. But when it's over it's over. No collection agencies coming after you, no judgments. Let the lawyer explain it :)

I think 7 yrs from date of discharge - I know ch 7 is that way, not sure about ch 13:

Just so you know, the credit couseling is just as bad as the bk on your report, and they screw with you more when it's credit counseling. Federal laws protect you when you file bk, and they don't dare do anything.

Sorry system when you're better off taking bankruptcy than paying the debts, huh?

The lawyer will tell you the ins and outs of cch 13. If it was me, that's what I'd do.

Re your job - do you handle money? It's best to be upfront about what's going on IMO. If you handle money, it is stickier with employer - but so are collections and charge offs. Talk to the lawyer about it, also, if you do this.
