I have received letters from a collection (attorneys) office regarding old credit card debt. Apparently, the final judgment, that was dated in 1998, was sold to a new bank in 1999 and now they are trying to garnish my wages. Can they do this for unsecured debt from 13 years ago? Does the SOL apply to the final judgment? I live in Florida and lived in Florida then, but should I give them my new address? Should I respond to the Attorney? Thank you ANYONE for your responses. It appears as if I am on a time limit now and need to respond to this quickly!
