Harrasment from Gulfstate !

I am being harrased by gulfstate financial for a debt that I have never owed. They call me constantly, sometimes up to four times a day. This morning after calling at 9:00, my husband answered the phone and told them I was not at home. They then asked if he was my husband and coud he help me pay off the $500 dollar debt I owed. I am very angry, especially since I have never had a credit card with the Citibank Financial( who the debt was bought from). They asked me to write a letter disbuting the debt, but then have continued to call me everyday since then. I have had no letters of correspondence from these people or anything. I don't know if they even really exist! Does anyone have any information on this company and how can I keep them from continuing to harass me?
