Linda, Questions about BK?

Hi, Linda:
I went to see a lawyer about bk. There are few questions I hope you can help me out.
(1) The most of my debts are cc debts. Two of my cc are joint credit cards. Both of my wife and I are on those credit cards. If I file bk alone, it is possible those credit cards go after my wife? If so, there are any way I can avoid this without filing with my wife ( she has good credits).
(2)I have tow car payments each month. The lawyer told me that I have to put both of cars into the payment plan if I file chapter 13. I am not quite understand this kind of payment plan.
(3)The lawyer told me that I have to go through the court and negotiate with all credit cards company for settlement. It is real true for this ? If the cc company doesn't want to negotiate with me, I have to pay back the full amount I owe them?
(4)How many years the bk will be on my credit report if I file chapter 13?
(5)I made a list for the lawyer. There are about 300 dollars left after I pay all bills each month. He told me I can only file chapter 13 instead of chapter 7. Is it true?

Thank you for your time and help

Mike
