If a creditor got a judgement against my wife two years ago, but didn't put a lien our home as far as I know. Can I sell my home to my daughter and continue to live in it? I will sell it to her for what I paid for it three years ago, which will give me about $4,000. Do I have to pay the judgement of $7,000 with this money? The house isn't worth much now, but I fear in the future, this creditor could take our home. I am on disability, and am what they say is judgement proof. If it goes up in value someday, I don't want to be forced from my home. I will be on Social Security in about six years.
