still have car

I still have a car that currently books at $4500 I owed 9700 and bankruped the debt july 2001 california the bank did't show and we were hoping to negotiate a lower payment we finaly called the bankrupsy dept. and they said just keep making the payments with no regards to a lowered payment the car has 200,000 miles on it which devalues it 4500 and it needs a new e according to the computer diag and mechanic they do not respond to communication an dhavn.t picked the casr up yet . Is ther something they know that we don't? If so where can I find the data?
