First, what state do you live in? If it is the state of Texas and Florida, they cannot attach a lien to your house for any amount.

However, if you don't, it is too late to place a homestead on your property since the judgment has been filed already. As JJ has mentioned, your sole alternative may be to claim bankrupcy protection. If that is the case, speak to an attorney.
