Get copies of his credit reports and see what is on there. You can dispute every entry. However, it will probably bring the collection agencies out of the woodwork. Paying them will restart the clock, and they will still be on his credit reports, however, you would then most likely be able to get a mortgage. There are mortgage brokers who will give you credit repair advice - you could see what one of them says about your chances. Linda
