can my paid for car be taken in case of a judgement

hi, I went thru a horrific divorce, and was left with credit card debts, I get threatening letters, of possible lawsuits, the only thing I own outright is a car worth about 6,000.00. If a judgement is attained, can they confiscate my car, to sell? to satisfy the judgement? It is my only car..Please help, I need to know..thanks
