judgement from credit card

I had a judgement placed against me from a credit card. The credit card was in my name only and six months later they froze my joint account. How can they freeze a joint account with my husband as the primary on the checking account? Is there anything that I can do about freeing up the checking account? I live in the state of North Carolina and the judgement was filed in North Carolina.
