Actually, if your credit is already trashed, why not talk to a good bankruptcy attorney and see if you qualify. Initial consultations are usually free. You will recover much more quickly from this if you take bk. Discover will probably dump you if you do. I am surprised to hear they are working with you. Their reputation in this area is that they do not usually help folks in trouble. Maybe they are wising up.
