I incurred a credit card debt 11/26/91. A payment was made 4/15/92. Haven't sent a dime since then. The - mark came off my credit report almost 3 years ago. Now a collection agency is hounding me and says he'll make sure that debt will be put back on my report by the end of the week unless I settle since SOL for La is 10 yrs.The account was opened in Mississippi, but I live in Louisiana..SOL for written contract in LA is 10 yrs..but wouldn't this credit card debt be an open account(SOL 3 yrs)? I have excellent credit now and don't need any bad marks? Can he do that?
