Thank you for your response. Very helpful as are the other comments on this board. Original charge-off was in 5/93 - made a payment in 1/95 - but lost employment. Am I correct that according to my states SOL of 6 years that a suit could possibly be instituted but would, in all likelihood, be void if challenged. And - since what I interpret (maybe wrong?) that according to FTC the original date of charge-off is 5/93 + 180 (I have documented TRW credit report)so can no longer be reported to credit bureaus. But we know how these collection agencies (especially Gulf State)are so that is reason I am wanting to pull credit report to observe if re-aging has been done. Without credit report there is no way of knowing. The other alternative is to wait until 2/2002 when all (SOL & FTC) has passed. Thanks again :)
