Linda, I understand what you are saying but with paying barely more than the minimums and not charging for several years, they are raping me with the interest and penalties. I did get behind at one point, due to an accident and not being able to work, so interest and penalties went out of control and quickly doubled my balances. I feel like I have more than paid back my principles! I can't get a consolidation loan as I don't have anything for collateral and besides, every time I try for a lower interest card or a consolidation loan, they say I don't qualify. I feel like I'm just at an impass and have nothing to lose at this point. I have worked two jobs for so long and it is getting me nowhere. I guess I'm just tired. :o(
