My husband and I seperated a little over a year ago. During all this time neither of us have been able to pay on credit card bills. I have lost my job and moved back to my hometown. He has transferred his job and moved not far from us to be closer to my (our) son. There is one creditor who has started calling both of us ALOT lately. He says that she has called him on his job 3 times in one evening. This is not the original creditor, she is trying to force him to sell his house to pay off his debts. He has managed to keep his house payment and truck payments current. Can she force him into selling or refinancing his home? And on the letter that I have from them they state that they are an attorneys office, representing CACV, Inc., original debtor Discover Card. If this is all legitimate why am I still periodically recieving collection statements from Discover Card them selves. I have spoken to a lawyer and he says that she cant do anything. I am just worried about what will happen to my husbands home. We are seperated, I don't hate him and wish the worse on him. Desperate, in La.
