You're right, the assistant I first talked to lead me to believe it was going to be written off. The next lady I talked to was rude, curt, grilled me about selling the house and why we had moved out of it 4 years ago in the first place! Why do they need to know that, it's so uncalled for!?! She then informed me I would be making a payment plan (which was fine with me) and she wants about 15 items faxed to her immediately, including all kinds of things I don't even know where to begin finding. In the meantime, I got another offer on the house which is $2000 closer to paying off the balance, so I decided to borrow the extra $3000 from my sister and just pay her back. I knew it sounded too good to be true!
