Crazy man demanding more money!!

Ok short and sweet. I bounced a check to this man that my husband bought a car part from. we spoke to him he said he wanted the amount of the check plus a 10.00 fee. no problem we sent it to him. 4 days after we sent it and I'm sure he had received it by then we got a certified letter in the mail stating that he wanted a 50.00 fee. well we had already sent him what he asked for the first time and didnt feel we owed him any more. now he is calling us almost daily and sending emails demanding 50.00, and says that if we dont send it he will have a lawsuit against us. can he really do anything or is he trying to scare us into paying him money he doesnt deserve? And how on earth can we make him stop calling and emailing us???? Please Help!!
