Let your conscience be your guide but, sometime in 02, they will be out of statute. That means should you get sued, you can tell the judge the SOL has passed and the case will be dismissed in your favor. In 03, the derogs come off of your report.
Personally, if you feel the need to part with money, I am sure there are a number of chariites in Oregon that would make better use of your cash than a collection agency.
