Hi all I am a bit confused on the whole CRA time frame.

1. If a debt is purchased from the original creditor and the collection agency post it to your credit report with the date that they purchased the account, does the debt then become un reportable at 7yr+180 days from the original creditor deliquency or from the collection agency puchase?

2. If the collection agency is claiming a debt that is past the original 7yr+180 days from the original creditor delinquency, how do you get them to remove it?

3. What if the debt has been sold multiple times to several different agencies and they are all reporting it, how do you get the others to remove it?

4. Bankruptcy question: Before it was posted that companies included in bankruptcy should not be reporting as a profit loss or collection, How should it be reporting and how do I get them to change it?

5. Also my husband's ex wife ran up 19 collection accounts (medical) under my husbands name. Most were for her kids that are not my husbands. In the divorce the court ordered the kids bills not covered were to be split 50/50. So when i originally contacted the agency last year we paid 50% of the one bill for his son. Well i pulled our reports and they were still reporting the accounts when i called they said no way can they split the son's bill and by the way we owe for Her bills that were before the divorce judgement filing, even though they were bills for her pregnancy of another mans baby! Is this true?

Please help we are really trying to clean up our credit to prepare to purchase a home...I am feeling really overwhelmed with how to handle it all.

I greatly appreciate any and all help.
