You really need to see a good tax lawyer about the totality of your problems. At the least, you need to consider a chapter 13 filing. That will allow you to keep your assets and unsecured creditors are paid a fraction of there clains over a 3 to 5 year period.
Also, under certain circumstances, back taxes can be included in a bk.
Just because your selfemployed, don't think you're untouchable. They can get liens on your house and, attach your bank account with court orders. Many a doctor in a private pratice has discovered that over the years.
