If what you are saying is true, then how can the creditor say that a "charge-off" or "paid settlement" is a positive reflection on my credit record ? If what they report to the CRA is derogatory or damaging, then it would appear to me that they are setting themselves up for a lawsuit.
Linda, I will give them a call and ask for clarification of their remark about "reflect positively" and demand it in writing. They've given me until December 11th to pay, or no deal.
