Yup :) They can do it, believe me. And if you don't get it in writing, you have nothing but your word against theirs to sue with. If they say they "can't", "it's illegal", etc. that's not true. It is in their agreement with the credit bureau not to delete in exchange for payment, that's all. Remember, you have what they want - money. Accept "unrated" if you have to, but hold out for paid ad agreed, closed, no balance. No charge off, no selling the uncollected amount to a collection agency. Linda
