The simplest thing to do is send them copies of your old statements showing that what you say is correct. The other thing you can do is request a description of the procedure they used to verify (this is in the FCRA). Then they have to tell you how they verified your information. (My guess is that if you sent in more than 2 disputes at one time, they did not actually investigate them all.) Keep in mind these are people who work for close to minimum wage, and they have to do 10 investigations an hour to keep their jobs (this was on 60 minutes). So, doubtless, if they're running short on time, they say they did some investigations when they didn't. Requesting the procedure is preliminary to suing them for violations of the FCRA, so keep all your documentation. They will either delete the erroneous information, or they will try to reinvestigate. At that point it is your choice. You do not have to let them reinvstigate - there is nothing in the FCRA about that. They have 15 days to tell you what procedure they used to investigate your dispute, and they either tell you or they delete - that's the law. So you can sue them in small claims court at that point, if you want to. It's $1,000 per violation - get your court costs also, if you take that route. Or you can play along and let them "reinvestigate" or stonewall you, LOL. They're really good at that. So read the FCRA, if you haven't already, and go for it. Linda
