Oh yes, many lawsuits have been brought and won. Some have been class action, others not.

If this has affected your ability to get credit at favorable rates, sit down and figure out approximately how much it has cost you, and then contact a lawyer who is capable of bringing a class action.

Let me suggest, however, that if you have damages, you are far better off suing on your own behalf only. With class actions, the plaintiffs seem to get very little, but it does seriously punish the big bad defendant in public.

Some of the lawyers who are known on the internet for their ability and willingness to sue the CRA's are David Sczwak (I think I spelled it right) and Stuart Phillips. You might also contact Greg Fisher at http://www.creditscoring.com and let him write about your situation (he is taking on the CRA's and Fair Isaac in print online).

Good luck!

Linda
