Filing bankruptcy will only cost you a bundle and will put a bad mark on your credit history you cannot easily get rid of for the next 10 years. Do not be frightened by judgment. Most judgments are null and void upon their face and can easily be overturned. I've helped people overturn a great many of them. And you can also easily catch the collection agencies in serious violations of the law and force them to pay the debt for you and take it off the credit reports as well. Violation of people's rights and denial of due process of law is the only way most of them know how to operate and although most of them know the law, they seemingly would rather ignore if for the simple reason that they believe that you don't know the law and will not know what your rights are under the law and therefore will not bite back. If you know what to do they are totally and completely toothless. The worst they can do to you is to get a judgment and that is overturnable about 98% of the time. So learn to fight back and stand up for your rights. That's what I do is teach people what their rights are and how to stand up and fight for their rights and win.
