Credit Card company sueing

I am being sued by a credit card company on an account that my ex-husband and I had. He was to pay the bill according to our divorce decree but we're both being sued. I live in Texas. If a judgement is awarded - exactly what does that entail or where can I get the information? And if I file bankruptcy after the judgement is awarded will it also be discharged?
