I have a question. I have a 3000 discover card that I last paid a payment to in july l996. the collection agencies have been hounding me all these years, and so far I think I have dodged them. I had disaster hit me with a sudden death, and just couldnt pay them. Now I think collection agencies that bought them are hounding me.
I had to apply for a loan that I knew would be turned down for my daugters school aid. Also, I have a debt with the collection agency here that I am gonna pay down. Is this really gonna hurt me bad in trying to reach the statue oflimitations, which I think is 6 years? Any advice?
