Help Please Anyone???????

had a credit card bought stove stove don't work, ABC Warehouse wont take stove back wont exchange for different one that works said it was up to me to fix. disputed charge on ccard found in my favor. ABC disputed the dispute. after ccard found in my favor the disputed amount and removed it from my account I called an got a payoff sent them a check for the amount. wrote on front and back of check "paid in full for all amounts owed or disputed. close acct." cc company cashed check applied to acct and then I called to mke sure the acct was closed several months later cc company put charges back on acct. because I would not pay they wrote it off as bad debt and sold it to collection agency, who wont sue me but insist on calling all the time. threating to sue. they keep putting this on my credit report I then send my stuff in and have it removed only to have them put it back again. Is there anything I can do to keep them from putting this derogatory item on me credit report? and can I sue them for harrasment? and damages because they keep putting this on my report and it looks bad to bank/ credit union when I want to get a loan. I have to pay higher interest rates.
