You don't have to talk to them, but they can call as often as they want to, if this is the original creditor. A charge-off means that you are paying less han the full amount that you owe. The part you don't pay is "chraged off" to profit and loss by the creditor. Be prepared, because this charged off amount will most likely be sold to collection agency after collection agency and they will harrass you trying to collect it for profit. Linda
