Just on the off-chance that it will work, try dialing the number, but do not touch the keypad on your phone. So if it says "if you are dialing from a touchtone phone, press one" DO NOT PRESS 1 - wait - a lot the time it will transfer you to an operator.

Now that a lot of systems have voice response, this won't work, but a lot of the time it will.
