You may be able to work something out with Citibank. Call them and tell them your situation, how this happened, what you can do. Citibank is one of the companies that looks for ways to work things out - they are one of the few companies that has a rebuilding program for people who have been through credit counseling.

Right now, with so many people out of work and defaults way above what was expected, many card companies are trying to work something out with people who are in trouble. Give it a shot. Talk to them on the phone - they are not sleazy - and if you come to an agreement follow up with a letter, or have them follow up. Let us know what happens.
