Charged off account

my credit card account was charged off a 3 years ago even though I have made all payments. I now want to proove that I actually paid my bills on time and asked my old credit card company for copies of my old statements in order to trace when I owed how much and how much I paid. The credit card company won't give me the statements since they claim the account is owned now by the company it was sold to. The company it was sold to claims I should be able to get it from the cc company. If they ask for these statements, they would do it through a lawyer and subpeonor the cc compnay to hand out the documents. It feels like no company wants to really help me tracing my payments. What can I do?
