If these were debts that were his prior to your marriage, and there are no joint accounts, and OH is not a community property state, you should be ok if he files and you don't. He should definitely ask the attorney if there are any other things that could affect you.

Then, you could find someone trying to mess with you afterward, but that is easy to take care of, because you have the Federal Courts to back you up. I have seen cases where a debt was bk's andby one spouse and the creditor sells the written off debt to collection agency anyway. That's illegal - once he bk's it, it no longer exists. That can be taken care of if you know what to do (contact your lawyer or the bk trustee).
