I am not really interested in suing the collection agency. I am concerned about them sending my case to a district justice for civil judgement as they stated in their last letter. The actual debt for the school course is for $627 - I have completed less than 15% of the courseand they discontinued sending me coursework at that time. Now they claim I either need to pay for the entire course (and not receive the rest of the coursework) or pay the $166 fee to opt out. Like I said, they never sent me a signed copy of my agreement to these terms even though I requested one twice. If they do take me to court can I claim that they with-held the evidence I requested that resulted in me not making the correct decision to opt out? Had they sent me the copy of the signed agreement I probably would have opted out but I see no reason to do so if they have no signed agreement and are simply trying to trick me or threaten me into paying them money. Thanks again for your help and advice...
