Who would you "pay it off " to? If it has been sold to a collection company, they would be piling on interest charges that they would try to get if you contacted them. Even if you succeeded in paying it off, you would be extending the time this "bad credit" showed on your reports by another 7 years.It will be off your record in 2004 if you let it alone.
