The SOL is a defense that you need to prove at your hearing. The letter you sent has no effect if there is a disputed SOL. Look up the SOL for your State. Then check your records for proof of the date the account became delinquent. In the case of a credit card, the time period for delinquency is in your original agreement, usually 30 days past the due date.
