Ok, depending on how the state of MO handles repossessions etc from other states (you would need to ask a lawyer) the statute of limitations is not up in MO. It is in ID. So, you need to read your original contract for the auto finance company, the state laws in ID and the state laws in MO. Sounds like fun, huh?

I would either ask a lawyer, or lay low until 2004 (month the car was reposessed). Don't respond, don't talk to them (change your number), get a PO box for mailing address, don't use any credit, don't keep any money in any financial institutions - disappear, and otherwise appear to be broke and a total deadbeat until the SOL is up. If you are working they may sue you anyway. If they do, get a lawyer.
